Welcome to Lucy Lapwing - our latest Ambassador

Birds on the Brink is thrilled to announce a new member of the team – Lucy Lapwing has become our latest ambassador, and she is a welcome addition. Many readers will know her from her appearances on television and from her blogs and podcasts.

Lucy is a self-described nature nerd, naturalist and lover of all things wild. Working in conservation, she is passionate about connecting people to the bizarre, beautiful and bedazzling species that we share our lives with, through science communication.

As well as presenting podcasts and appearances as a presenter on television, Lucy also photographs the natural world. Photographs © Lucy Lapwing

The Birds on the Brink team can confirm that Lucy is indeed passionate about conservation and a consummate communicator. More than that though, for somebody so youthful, she has an unblinkered understanding of what is going wrong with the environment, plus a willingness to speak truth to power.

Lucy, and others like her, are the hope for the future of wildlife and the planet.
